Description: The County of Placer is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional civil engineering and related services for the Grove Street Intersection Improvement Project located in Tahoe City, California in an unincorporated area of easter Placer County. This RFP will result in the award of one contract for the subject project. This RFP includes a description of the scope of work, proposal requirements, and instructions for submitting your proposal.

SCOPE OF WORK Contractor shall maintain pedestrian and vehicular traffic control at all times in accordance with the “Manual of Traffic Controls” issues by the State of California, Department of Transportation. No additional payment will be made to the Contractor for traffic control. See: http://www.dot.ca.gov/trafficops/camutcd/camutcd2014rev4.html 2. Contractor shall post “no parking” signs no later than 72 hours in advance of the time of need. Pedestrian’s access to homes and businesses in the project area shall be maintained at all times. No additional payment will be made to the Contractor for posting “no parking” signs and for maintaining residential and business access. 3. The Contractor must request permission from the Project Manager prior to towing any vehicles that may interfere with the Contractor’s progress.

SCOPE OF SERVICES General: The City’s Project Manager (PM) will provide Contractor with a project approximately two (2) weeks prior to the start of work. City staff will meet a contractor representative at the site prior to the commencement of work to review the specific boundaries and treatments required for the site and to review scheduling of the work. Contractor shall: 1) Expect that work may be on a variety of conditions on, sites ranging in size, steep slopes, and with limited access. Work may be in sensitive habitats, with specific equipment and time restrictions that will be clarified and detailed in each job order. 2) Remove and lawfully dispose of all debris. City will provide an account at the Berkeley Transfer Station that Contractor will use to dump material. 3) Complete all work within the agreed upon timeframe. The PM has the authority to extend due dates on a case by case basis.

Scope of Work The Civil and Tunnel contract package is a progressive design-build construction package for the design and construction of the Civil and Tunnel Project (Project), which includes the completion of the design of the structures and tunnel (excluding rail systems), the ventilation structures, the Fourth and Townsend Street Station civil works, and utility support and temporary and permanent relocations (excluding the advance utility relocations). Preconstruction work includes design engineering, preconstruction management, schedule preparation, estimating, acting as lead for coordination across all contract packages, preconstruction surveys, site investigations, hazardous materials assessment, and coordination with and obtaining approvals from stakeholders and authorities having jurisdiction

SCOPE OF WORK :IT IS THE DUTY OF THE Contractor to complete the work covered by this contract in exact accordance with the approved plans, specifications and other contract documents as specified in Article 6 below. The Contractor shall be liable to the District for any damages arising as a result of a failure to fully comply with that obligation, and the Contractor shall not be excused with respect to any failure to so comply by any act or omission of the District, Architect, Inspector, the State of California and their officers, employees, agents, and Independent Contractor of any of them, unless such act or omission actually prevents the Contractor from fully complying with the requirements of the documents, and unless the Contractor protests at the time of such alleged prevention that the act or omission is preventing the Contractor from fully complying with the contract documents. Such protest shall not be effective unless reduced to writing and filed with the District office within three (3) working days of the date of occurrence of the act or omission preventing the Contractor from fully complying with the contract documents.

WORK DESCRIPTION: The work includes but is not necessarily limited to the following: Furnishing, hauling, placing, compacting, and grading of material; preparing subgrade for Portland cement concrete (PCC) and hot mix asphalt (HMA); furnishing and constructing ADA compliant PCC sidewalk, curb, curb & gutter, decomposed granite, and appurtenant work to match existing; sawcutting, removals, and disposal; finish grading; clean-up and related work as required, to complete the work as specified by these Special Provisions, including plan exhibits, the Standard Plans and Specifications For Public Works Construction (“Greenbook”) 2015 edition, and the City Standard Requirements.

SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and utility and transportation services, and perform and complete all work required in connection with Bid No. 2023-24(B6) Arroyo High School Modernization Package 1 Project (“Project”) in strict accordance with the Contract Documents enumerated in Article 7 below. The Contractor shall be liable to the District for any damages arising as a result of a failure to comply with that obligation, and the Contractor shall not be excused with respect to any failure to so comply by an act or omission of the Architect, Engineer, Inspector, Division of the State Architect (DSA), or representative of any of them, unless such act or omission actually prevents the Contractor from fully complying with the Contract Documents and the Contractor protests, in accordance with the Contract Documents, that the act or omission is preventing the Contractor from fully complying with the Contract Documents. Such protest shall not be effective unless reduced to writing and filed with the District office within seven (7) days of the date of occurrence of such act or omission preventing the Contractor from fully complying with the Contract Documents.

SCOPE OF WORK A. Except where otherwise noted, the system shall consist of a network of commercial Internetprogrammable thermostats, their accessories, and any other networked climate management device(s) required to fill the intent of the specification, sequence of operations, and provide for a complete and operable system. B. The BAS contractor shall review and study existing building/site conditions where applicable and all new construction drawings for the project including HVAC drawings and the entire project specifications to familiarize themselves with the equipment and system operation prior to bidding and submittal of a bid/price and notify the owner immediately of any conflicts between the project and the scope of work of this section, including work to be completed by others. C. All equipment and installation of control devices associated with the equipment listed below shall be provided under this BAS contractor.
