Alameda County Public Works Agency (PWA) maintains roadways in rural and unincorporated areas throughout the County jurisdiction. In order to combat the deterioration of roadways maintained by Alameda County as well as to reduce maintenance costs, PWA staff performs preventative maintenance such as Chip Seal application. The Chip Seal application is a group project that relies on trucking services to deliver road screening materials in transfer trucks and trailers that hook up to PWA Etnyre Chip Spreader equipment. Please see Exhibit (B) for reference to Spreader equipment and hook-up.
The ACFD provides all-risk emergency services to the unincorporated areas of Alameda County (excluding Fairview), the cities of San Leandro, Dublin, Newark, Union City, and Emeryville, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

The ER+SC project will consist of the new construction of (a 23,000 GSF) campus building supporting the new Energy Systems Engineering degree program and other campus academic programs related to clean energy, while also strategically collocating a new sustainability center.
