La Palma Promenade and Swan Parking Lot (RE-BID)

WORK DESCRIPTION: The project will convert North La Palma Parkway, from a two-way street, into a one-way tree-lined, pedestrian and bicycle friendly green corridor. Improvements on Swan Street include new shade trees, drought-tolerant plantings, rain gardens, and converting the Swan parking lot into an appealing and environmentally friendly “green parking lot.” The project will not only enhance the pedestrian / vehicular / user experience in and around La Palma Park, but will also improve access to recreation, promote environmental stewardship, and improve pedestrian safety and connectivity throughout the area.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Replacement of existing Air Handler Unit 8 (AHU) located on the roof of the Merle Norman Pavilion at Santa Monica Medical Center. The scope of work includes connection of existing AHU 7 and AHU 6A to areas serviced by AHU 8, demolition of AHU 8, provision of HVAC controls, variable frequency drives, ductwork, piping, valves, anchoring, and hoisting equipment; testing and balancing; and repairs to building and roof finished impacted by the work. Work shall also include connecting existing AHU 6A to areas services by existing AHU 4 and demolition and removal of AHU 4.

Maggio Road and Rood Road Drainage Connection Storm Drain Pipeline Improvements

The Improvements consists installing storm drain pipelines within the Gateway of the Americas Specific Plan area to improve drainage in the vicinity of Maggio Road and Rood Road. The storm drain will convey storm water currently discharging into a small retention area at Maggio Road and Rood Road intersection and route to two separate locations. One location is further east along the future Zinetta Road to an existing manhole discharge location and the second location is further south along Los Alamos Road to connect to an existing pipeline north of Carr Road.
