This project includes FISCAL YEAR 2024 (JULY 1, 2023 – JU NE 30, 2024) for construction of public projects.

The required improvements at the associated intersections are comprised of installing pre-configured upgraded vehicle detection, traffic signal computing hardware, and networking hardware. These new devices will be compatible with and configured to interface with the City’s ATMS investment for high-resolution traffic data collection and adaptive traffic signal control. The upgraded detection technology will utilize a hybrid system of high-definition cameras combined with radar technology.

This project includes CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES – MASTER AGREEMENT.

This Project entails the demolition of Taxiway C2. Approximately 117,000 square feet of concrete pavement and 23,000 square feet of asphalt pavement will be removed and harvested for future use in supplying base materials to continue the reconstruction of RWY 17/35. Time being of the essence, the work under this contract shall be diligently prosecuted to completion before expiration of 90 CALENDAR DAYS beginning on the date specified in the Notice to Proceed, which is expected to be August 15, 2023.

The project is intended to upgrade the functions and condition of the Marine Biotechnology Lab Building, a two-story structure that is approximately 10,000sf and was constructed in two phases – in 1961 and 1985. The building contains laboratories, offices, and classrooms. The project will be designed to comply with the University of California Policy on Sustainable Practices, and must be designed to achieve a minimum of a LEED Gold Rating.

The Work comprises of the furnishing of all materials, equipment, tools, labor, all implied requirements, incidentals, and all appurtenant work as required by the Specifications, and Contract Documents for the above stated project areas for the installation of a new traffic signal at Willow Avenue and San Bernardino Avenue
