On-Call Traffic Engineering Services

SCOPE OF SERVICES REQUIRED The City of Vernon is seeking the services of a highly qualified consulting firm (Contractor) to assist in: Providing traffic engineering services on miscellaneous projects as assigned by the Director of Public Works. For each task performed, a specific scope of work and fee estimate shall be developed by the contractor and submitted to the City for approval prior to the start of any work. FY 2023-2024 Sidewalk Repair Project

Scope of Maintenance Services General: The scope of work consists of removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk at various locations within the City as shown in Exhibit “A-1”. In addition, this project includes reconstruction of an existing driveway and installation of meter boxes as shown in Exhibit “A-1”. Citywide Re-roofing Project

The work consists of, but is not limited to, removal, disposal and replacement of existing roofing on various municipal buildings located within the City of Santa Maria. Work includes necessary roof preparation and installation of new roof assembly. Also included are the removal and replacement of metal flashing, roof gutters and downspout, repair of deteriorated roof decking, evaluation of the existing vent system and installation of additional roof vents, if necessary, and all miscellaneous work for a complete installation of new roof per manufacturer’s recommendations, plans and as specified herein

General project work description: The Project generally consists of the excavation and removal of soil and vegetation within the Santa Maria River bed, across easements owned by the District. The project aims to promote improved natural conveyance of water through the center of the river channel. Construction Project Management Services (CPMS) in Support of Salton Sea North Lake Design-Build Project

The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) Salton Sea Management Program (SSMP), under the direction of California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA), is working to comply with State Water Resources Control Board Order (SWRCB) 2017- 0134. This order requires CNRA to 1) provide dust suppression and create aquatic habitat on 29,800 acres of exposed Salton Sea lakebed by 2028 to address public health and environmental concerns, and 2) develop projects or components of the Long-Range Plan with additional projects and milestones to address public health and environmental concerns beyond 2028.

Summary of Anticipated Services SCV Water is soliciting qualifications for engineering and planning firms to support the development of projects needed to effectively plan, develop, and manage the Agency’s water supply portfolio. SCV Water is expecting to enter into as-needed contracts with one or more firms exhibiting expertise in the services outlined below in Section 2. Firms may submit qualifications for all or just some of the listed services.
