Design of a New Seaside Welcome Sign

SCOPE OF WORK The City of Seaside is seeking assistance with concept design, development design and construction documents for a Welcome to Seaside sign. The selected firm will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of the design. Based on the guidelines outlined in Task 1, and on an analysis of the respective sign location, develop preliminary designs for a new “Welcome to Seaside” sign and deliver to city staff. A mock up image of the sign design at the proposed locations should be included in the design package. Based on city staff review of the preliminary design plan, amend design if needed and prepare a final sign plan, for city approval.

Boronda Road Congestion Relief Project – Phase 1

Scope of Work: The Phase 1 Project includes widening and intersection improvements of approximately 0.7 miles of East Boronda Road between Dartmouth Way and 1,700 feet east of McKinnon Street intersection, including a new multi-lane roundabout at the McKinnon Street and Boronda Road intersection. Work also includes but is not limited to: construction of storm water treatment facilities and bioretention facilities in the roadway medians, islands, and adjacent to sidewalks, construction of shared-use paths around the perimeter of the roundabout, construction of bike lanes, bus pullouts, street lighting, sidewalks, ADA pedestrian access ramps, installation of storm drain lines, sanitary sewer mainline extension, pavement delineation, roadway signs, landscaping, and all other improvements and requirements as described and specified in the project Plans and these Contract Documents.

General work description: Contractor must provide repairs to the damaged steel crossing instrument house located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Folsom Blvd and Zinfandel Drive in the City of Rancho Cordova. Upon Contract execution, Contractor must make an initial assessment of the damage and take the necessary measurements needed to repair the instrument house. SacRT staff does not have the technical expertise or knowledge to provide the exact measurements of the damaged area.
