The Cesar Chavez Park site is approximately 29 acres in land, located at 250 N. Madeira and Circle Drive in the City of Salinas. The project lies within the Special Flood Hazard Zone (Zone AE, BFE 47 feet, NAVD 1988) as noted on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM 06053C0217G). There are four dry basins which treat approximately 850 acres of surface runoff drainage ( CCPark_AreasTreated.PNG). The runoff flows into the reclamation ditch toward Carr Lake from the northwest end of the park, off of North Madeira Ave.
