The Jacumba FS is a one-story facility, the scope of work shall include 2 apparatus bays/double deep, lobby, office, 6 dormitory rooms, restrooms, kitchen, dining room, day room, gym, solar photovoltaic panel energy collection system and battery, storage parking spaces, path of travel improvement and ancillary support features including an IT/station alerting/phone/data, equipment storage, hose rack, generator, security fencing and other miscellaneous items. Sitework shall include parking, septic system, water wells, 4 above ground 10,000 gallons water storage tanks, a large storm water collection system, hose rack, generator, and other miscellaneous items as reflected in the design drawings. The project shall comply with the state title 24 (sustainability) requirements set forth by the state of California, a design effort for a more sustainable future. The project shall meet ZNE requirements and will be designed with 30% of embodied carbon reduction and will be Gold LEED certified.

All work is subject to the County’s inspection, sampling, and testing. The County’s inspection, sampling, and testing do not relieve the Contractor of its responsibility to provide QC. SCOPE OF WORK The Work to be performed consists of furnishing all plant, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, manufactured articles, labor, transportation, and services, including fuel, power, water, and essential communications, and performing all work or other operations required for the fulfillment of the Work in accordance with the Contract. In general, the Work to be completed consists of replacing existing galvanic anode cathodic protection systems on six submerged gate faces. These gates are spaced vertically along a tower structure and serve as the reservoir’s inlet and outlet. The tower is structurally connected to the wetted face of the dam. Each gate consists of four magnesium anodes bolted on each face and range from 20 feet deep to 238.5 feet deep, depending on reservoir levels. SCOPE OF WORK:The scope of work for the Contract, if awarded, will include the base bid plus any combination of the additive alternates, as determined by the Owner, subject to the Owner’s right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in the bids or bidding. Bids in which the prices are obviously unbalanced may be rejected. The County may deem non-responsive any bids that contain any mathematical errors. Contract unit prices bid by the lowest responsive and responsible bidder shall be locked in for the duration of the contract, and the Owner has the right to award additive alternates included in the bid solicitation, but which have not already awarded at the unit prices bid, if additional funding becomes available.

SCOPE OF WORK: The County will decide whether to accept a VECP and the estimated net construction-cost savings from adopting the VECP or parts of it. The County may require the Contractor to accept a share of the investigation cost as a condition of reviewing a VECP. After written acceptance, the County will consider the VECP and deduct the agreed cost. If the County accepts the VECP or parts of it, the County will issue a Change Order that: Incorporates changes in the Contract necessary to implement the VECP or the parts adopted. Includes the County’s acceptance conditions. States the estimated net construction-cost savings resulting from the VECP Obligates the County to pay the Contractor 50 percent of the estimated net savings.

SCOPE OF WORK Design Professional shall provide professional civil engineering, traffic engineering, and engineering design services on an as-needed, per task basis. Design Professional shall assign one person within the Design Professional’s organization as the Design Professional’s Project Manager. The Water Authority will coordinate requests for services with the Design Professional’s Project Manager. Upon consensus of the parties on the scope, not-to-exceed fee, and schedule, the Water Authority will issue a written Authorization letter and Design Professional shall then begin and complete the authorized work. All work done under the contract shall be performed under the direct, responsible supervision of a Professional Engineer registered in the State of California, who shall be the Engineer of Record for work and shall stamp, sign, and date reports, design drawings, technical specifications, and calculations. The Registered Professional Engineer shall bear responsibility for all engineering services performed.
