Saugus Water Reclamation Plant Pressure Filter Rehabilitation and Media Changeout

SCOPE OF WORK The work scope for this project comprises the removal and disposal of the current filter media, followed by the detailed cleaning and inspection of the underdrains, piping, and coating systems. The project also requires the supply and installation of new filter media as per the given specifications. Furthermore, there will be the design, fabrication, and installation of a fixed grid surface washing system per specifications. The underdrain laterals are to be replaced. All elements of the work scope are applicable to all four (4) filter vessels at the Saugus WRP. Additionally, the service provider shall remove any visible mud layer inside each pressure filter prior to filling the required filter media. A maximum of one (1) filter can be taken out of service for the work at any given time. New media shall be distributed as evenly as possible inside of each pressure filter by utilizing all manways.
