DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Stern Hall was constructed in 1940 as female student dormitory. The original building, including the brick patio, has been designated historic, so all renovations have attempted to maintain not only the original style, but also keep the original materials in tact where possible. The scope includes, but is not limited to: The renovation of existing brick patio and adjacent pathway, including improvements to pedestrian lighting and adjacent landscaping. This includes repair of utility piping below patio while preparing stable subgrade for brick work. See Project Phasing Section 01 32 80 for more information on on-site construction schedule.
