Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Update

SCOPE OF SERVICES The City is requesting proposals from qualified firms (Consultant) to update (or rewrite) the City of Chino’s Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP), which may include amendments to related General Plan-Safety Element policies for consistency purposes. It is the City’s desire to update the Safety Element and the LHMP, concurrently and under one contract due to overlapping content, shared data, and required internal consistency. This project will result in a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)-approved update of the City of Chino Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP). The City’s LHMP was last updated and approved on May 23, 2018 and expired on May 23, 2023. The updated LHMP will need to be submitted, approved, and adopted by the City and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) by November 21, 2026. This project is grant funded through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program and will be subject to requirements or conditions as prescribed by the grant program.
