ProjectAI — Ask Your Project Anything

Introducing ProjectAI, your intelligent assistant built directly into the new project view. Contractors can now chat with an AI that understands the entire scope of the project — including all plans, specs, and bid documents.

Central AI Chat Panel: Ask any question about the project — from bid items and timelines to materials and compliance requirements — and get a direct answer.
Interactive Question History (Left Panel): Easily revisit your past questions. Click any entry to instantly jump to the corresponding answer.
Live Document Preview (Right Panel): Browse project documents without leaving the page. Each AI response includes a reference to the source document and page — clicking it will highlight that exact section in the preview panel.
Dropdown Document Selector: Quickly switch between documents to explore plan sheets, specs, and more in context.

With ProjectAI, contractors can quickly understand bid requirements, locate specs, and save valuable time navigating complex documents.

Original File Names Displayed: In addition to BidAmerica’s standardized file labels, we now show the original filenames used by the agency — helping you recognize familiar naming conventions and avoid confusion.
Consistent Viewing Tools: Files still include the same reliable View and Download buttons so you can quickly access or save any document.

As part of our enhanced security measures, BidAmerica 4.0 now includes a quick one-time phone number verification during email confirmation. This added step helps protect your account and ensures you're the one accessing your profile — keeping your data and saved projects secure.

What You Need to Know

Starting Thursday, November 6, 2025, as part of the 4.0 update, a few small but important changes will appear the next time you log in:

Phone Number Verification: After logging in, you’ll be prompted to verify your phone number as a one-time security measure. This ensures better account protection and prepares your profile for future update alerts.
New “Ask AI” Column on Project Tables: You’ll now see a new column labeled “Ask AI” next to each project in the bid table. Clicking it will take you directly to the ProjectAI assistant, where you can ask questions and review detailed answers sourced from the project's documents.

As part of our enhanced security measures, users will now be prompted to verify their phone number after logging in. This step protects your account and helps ensure important bid alerts and project updates reach the right person. This feature will also be used in future add on features BidAmerica offers.

How has the document tab changed in BidAmerica 4.0?

The new document tab layout makes it easier to manage project files. You can now select multiple documents and bulk download them, track which ones you’ve viewed with numbered rows, and see the original file names used by the agency — all while keeping the same easy access to view or download each file.
