Professional Design Services – Golden West College Fine Arts Renovation

Scope of ServicesThe District is seeking an Architecture/Engineering team to provide professional design services for the GWC Fine Arts Renovation project. The architectural/engineering firm shall, without limitation to the District’s right to require other services not listed herein, carry out the responsibilities delineated in the scope of services set forth below. Such services shall be performed, consistent with the highest standard care for professionals performing similar scopes of services. The Fine Arts Renovation project at Golden West College will do a full gut and reconfiguration of one of the two wings of the existing Fine Arts Building. The other smaller wing will be demolished upon completion of the project. This project will result in 1,100 assignable square feet (ASF) of Lecture space, 18,990 ASF of Laboratory space, 1,200 ASF of Office space, 1,850 ASF of AV/TV space, and 2,800 ASF of Other support space for a total of 25,940 ASF and 36,600 GSF in the completed project. Included in the project total budget are costs for temporary relocation of faculty, staff, and instructional space during construction (swing space) and relocation of the campus MDF, located in the smaller wing of the existing building. This building complex will be a Title 24 and DSA compliant project. The project program has been approved by the California Community College Chancellor’s Office and must adhere to the requirements as stated on the Final Project Proposal This project is partly funded by state capital outlay funds and will need to meet the requirements as stated on the California Community College Chancellor’s Office - Facilities Planning Manual.
