SCOPE OF THE WORK This section of the beach extends from the Ventura Pier upcoast approximately 750 feet to California Street. Contractor should remove as much of the invasive arundo debris as possible, using hand rakes as necessary to remove smaller pieces. Contractor shall remove wood debris larger than 4 inches in diameter. Contractor shall attempt to leave in place pieces of natural driftwood between one 1 and 4 inches when feasible. Contractor shall use chainsaws as necessary to cut up tree trunks and other large pieces of wood. Contractor shall use an excavator(s), track loader(s) (for the beach), rubber tire loader(s) for the parking lot and street. Contractor shall use crew for hand work, traffic and pedestrian control. Beach Section 1 will be accessed at the State Parks parking lot downcoast of the Pier.
