Project Description: The City of Santa Cruz (City) operates and maintains a regional wastewater treatment and disposal facility (WWTF) originally built in 1928. Advanced Primary modifications were completed in 1988 and the Secondary Treatment Facility upgrade was completed in 1998. After identifying WWTF asset conditions and the priorities, the City contracted with design engineer, Brown & Caldwell, to design a rehabilitation project for the Headworks system. The “Work” consists of providing construction management (CM) services for the WWTF Headworks Rehabilitation project. The Headworks Rehabilitation project consists of rehabilitating and/or replacing several structures, process equipment, electrical and instrumentation, and ventilation of the Headworks System at the WWTF.
