SCOPE OF WORK The County is a political subdivision of the State of California, located geographically in Southern California is a public sector governmental entity governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors and comprised of 22 Agency/Departments with over 18,000 employees. The county’s core businesses are public safety, public health, public assistance, environmental protection, social services, and aviation. Human Resources Services (HRS) attracts, retains, and develops a highly skilled and competent workforce so that county agencies/departments can provide outstanding services to their customers. A component of the recruitment process is through background screening of credit checks, criminal civil checks, employee verification checks, and other background investigations for general and executive positions.
