Pump Efficiency Testing Services

Annually conduct a standard pump-motor field or index test. Measure the flow in gallons per minute, the total head or lift, and the power requirements for each pump-motor unit. For Well pump-motor units, the static and pumping water levels shall be measured, and the specific capacity of the well determined. The overall plant efficiency (wire to water and kWh per acre-foot for electric-driven units shall be calculated. Also, test and provide similar results for natural gas and diesel. Tests shall be made under normal operating conditions and one or two throttle points to get an idea of how the pump is suited to the existing condition. In pump stations with multiple pumps, analyze the resulting pump performance as other pumps are added.
