Emergency Modifications – Buena Outfall Phase III Modifications

DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Work generally consists of: Installation of appurtenances to an existing wastewater pipeline along Palomar Airport Road between Paseo Del Norte and El Camino Real. The project will relocate five existing air vacuum relief valves from within manholes in center westbound lane of to above ground locations. The work includes modifications to raise three (3) air vacuum valves to and construct dual air vacuum assemblies at grade, and two (2) modifications to raise single air vacuum valves with reconstruction at grade, with one new addition of a dual air vacuum valve to grade by way of modification within an existing gravity manhole with improvements to couple and construct a continuous pressurized pipeline segment, and one new single air vacuum valve in a unimproved easement area northeast of Palomar Airport Road and El Camino Real.
