SCOPE OF THE WORK "PERMITS" of the Standard Specifications is amended by adding the following paragraph: The Contractor and all subcontractors shall obtain and maintain a valid City business license. The Contractor shall also obtain a no-fee "Public Right-of-Way Construction and Encroachment Permit" from the Public Works Department, Engineering Division. Both the permit and the license shall be valid for the entire construction period and shall be kept at the job site at all times. All provisions of the permit shall apply and shall have authority over any conditions contained herein in these Special Provisions. Any costs incurred due to compliance with the permit or in obtaining a city business license or any other required permit or license shall be included in the contract cost for the work item involved and no additional payment will be made.
