SCOPE OF WORK Purpose: The existing fire-rated doors within the interior window wall system of Stair 1 are nonfunctional. The existing automatic door swing operators at each level can no longer open the doors and over time have caused the doors to crack at the hinges and the aluminum frames to distort. The project consists of replacing (4) 90-minute rated full-lite doors, door closures, and door operators, along with the installation of a new hold-open function and connection to the existing fire alarm system. Goals: To restore the exit doors in Stair 1 to proper working order, and to install a new hold-open function to prevent the new motor and operator from failure due to overuse.
