AK Warren Water Resource Facility Conveyor Support Structures Rehabilitation

Description: There are two steel support structures showing signs of severe corrosion and require rehabilitation. Each steel structure supports a conveyor belt which transports biosolid materials between Centrifuge Building 2 and the Biosolids Storage Building. The conveyors must remain in service at all times during the rehabilitation work. Where required, the rehabilitation consists of new stainless steel connection bolts, stainless steel gusset plates and structural steel members. The work also includes increasing the existing subgrade concrete foundation, application of a polyurethane coating on the steel members and replacing concrete curbs, slabs and asphalt pavement.
