Temple Academy Performing Arts Center

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: The Hacienda La Puente Unified School District proposes to construct and operate a performing arts center and associated parking on a 6.3-acre portion of the overall 9.4-acre campus. The project would include an approximately 20,000 square foot building, surface parking, a 508-seat auditorium, a pre-function lobby with restrooms, orchestra and parterre level seating, a legitimate stage, stage apron, fly loft with loading galleries, counterweight rigging system, dressing rooms with restrooms, green room/flex space, and a scene shop with adjoining outdoor scene yard. The performing arts center would share some parking with the adjacent currently proposed (by Los Angeles County) San Gabriel Valley Aquatics Center. The primary objective of the proposed project is to construct a performing arts center for both student and community use.
