Rudy C. Hernandez Community Center Gym Flooring Replacement

Scope of Services The Scope of Work consists of demo and replace the gym floor at the Rudy C. Hernandez Community Center located at 222 N. Lugo Ave., San Bernardino, California 92408. In addition to the demo and replacement of the wooden floor, work is to include remedy of any existing floor depression due to imperfections in the substrate floor flatness and/or the leveling and the removal and reinstallation of current bleachers, equipment, and furniture. All work is to be completed per manufacturer’s guidelines and to the Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association standards (attached PUR standards appendix D). Unless otherwise provided for in this document, the name of a certain brand, make or manufacturer does not restrict bidders to the specific brand, make or manufacturer named, but conveys the general style, type, character, and quality of the item desired. Any item which the City of San Bernardino, in its sole discretion, determines to be the equal of that specified, considering quality, workmanship, economy of operation, and suitability for the purpose intended, shall be accepted. It is the bidder’s responsibility to indicate the product clearly and specifically being offered and to provide sufficient descriptive literature, catalog cuts, and technical data to enable the City of San Bernardino to determine if the product offered meets the requirements of the solicitation. Failure to provide adequate data for evaluation purposes may result in declaring a bid non-responsive.
