Monte Vista Stormwater Detention Basin Analysis

The City of Vista owns and operates an existing stormwater detention basin located on Monte Vista Dr., just east of South Santa Fe Dr. Construction of this basin was completed in 2013 as part of the South Santa Fe Redevelopment Drainage Project that was responsible for controlling drainage in the Paseo Santa Fe redevelopment area. As a result, a Letter of Map Revision was submitted and approved by FEMA, redefining the 3 flood limits in the area. Immediately upstream and easterly of the 2013 detention basin (Monte Vista Basin) are two smaller existing detention basins that were previously studied but not improved
