PROJECT DESCRIPTION In 2018, the City was awarded Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Cycle 9 funding for bicycle, pedestrian and signal improvements at the intersection of Del Monte and Casa Verde including the Recreation Trail Crossing at Casa Verde Way. This project consists of: Improvements to the Casa Verde Way trail crossing and the intersection of Del Monte Avenue and Casa Verde Way Restriping of crosswalks Installation of Bicycle Crossing Installation of ADA ramps at the intersection Modifications to medians to accommodate change in crosswalks Modification to travel lanes to accommodate protected left turn Installation of mountable curb at the intersection of Casa Verde Way and Surf Way Traffic Signal Modifications to include: Protected left turn phase on Casa Verde Way Leading Pedestrian Phase Bicycle Signals
