440 N. Camden Seismic Improvements Phase 2

PROJECT DESCRIPTION Built in 1970, 440 N. Camden Drive building is a 154,000 SF, 6-story municipal parking structure with ground floor commercial tenant spaces. The building is categorized as a non-ductile concrete structure. Phase 1 of the seismic strengthening was completed in October 2023. The City is ready to implement Phase 2 of the project with general scope as follows: Application of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) to the existing interior shear walls for seismic reinforcement. The work also includes but not limited to the removal and reinstallation of existing electrical conduits, fire hose cabinets and pipes where FRP is applied. The City is seeking to prequalify general contractors for the Seismic Upgrade Project at 440 N. Camden Drive. The specified contractor’s licensing is B license under the California Contractors State License Board. The contractor shall have experience with Type I building and FRP applied method as Seismic Strengthening of Non-Ductile Concrete Structures.
