Scope of Services The Project generally consists of the demolition and disposal of the old Corona police department building, including but not limited to the existing hardscape and flatwork, utility disconnection/removals, pest abatement, abatement of hazardous materials, miscellaneous removals, and fill and compaction as necessary to clear the site and leave the existing site flush to surrounding surface elevations. Scope of Services The City of Corona is seeking a qualified consultant with experience assisting municipal electric utilities in preparing and presenting a comprehensive electric capacity impact study. The electric industry has changed dramatically in recent years with more emphasis being placed on solar and renewable energy technologies. In order to prepare for the impacts to CUD’s distribution system, CUD seeks to conduct a capacity study with a focus on the impacts of residential, commercial and industrial photovoltaic (PV) solar installations, electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, and battery backup. This study will allow the Corona Utilities Department (CUD) to plan for necessary infrastructure upgrades and policy revisions to ensure the continued reliability of CUD’s distribution system.

Scope of Services The City of Corona is requesting Prequalification Statements from interested Design-Build (D-B) Entities for the VHF Radio Network and Microwave System Replacement Project. The City plans to select a D-B Entity for the Project through a two-step competitive selection process. This request for Prequalification Statements is the first step in that process. The D-B Entity must possess appropriately licensed contracting, architectural, and engineering services as needed for a design-build contract. City will consider teams consisting of a general contractor with contractual relationships with entities providing the other required licenses and capable of providing all services required for the Project. The D-B Entity is expected to have design-build experience with projects similar in size, scope, type, and complexity of cost. The purpose of the Project is to select a qualified and experienced vendor to plan, design, build, implement, test, and commission into service a VHF conventional analog simulcast land mobile radio (LMR) network and a public safety-grade microwave system hereafter referred to as City of Corona Radio Network. The City’s existing VHF LMR network is currently operating transmission equipment that is at its end of life, and this network is intended to deliver modern and standardized LMR and Microwave equipment that can be sustained over the next 15-20 years. The VHF radio system will be integrated into the City’s dispatch subsystems.
