Project Summary

The City of Bakersfield (City) desires to enter into an agreement with one qualified Contractor for providing plumbing, boiler cleaning and boiler tune-up services at Wastewater Treatment Plants 2 and 3 and other wastewater division related treatment projects. The term of agreement shall be in place for one year from the effective date of the Agreement and may be extended in accordance with the provisions of this RFQ for three additional one-year periods at the City’s option and mutually agreeable terms. Wastewater Treatment Plant 2 (Plant 2) has two 2.888 MMBtu/hr digester-gas fired Burnham series 4F-50 boilers. Wastewater Treatment Plant 3 (Plant 3) has a total of six natural gas-fired boilers (manufactured by Walker Process Equipment), four of which have boiler capacity of 1,500,000 Btu/hr with heat input of 1.53 MMBtu/hr, and remaining two have boiler capacity of 400,000 Btu/hr with heat input of 0.584 MMBtu/hr. The Contractor selected shall be capable of performing the following scopes of work: miscellaneous plumbing; boiler cleaning and boiler tune-up services; and perform all tasks in a timely manner.
