Qualifications Cost Estimating Services–2022-2024

The Capital Projects (CP) Department of the University of California, Berkeley requests interested firms submit written qualification statements to provide a full spectrum of cost estimating services. Capital Projects is seeking a firm to provide construction cost estimates for the Berkeley Campus.

CRP21 Gender Inclusive Restroom

The Berkeley Campus of the University of California is seeking an Architect (“Consultant”) to perform programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, construction administration, and other support services as required by the Executive Design Professional Agreement (EDPA) for the CRP21 Gender Inclusive Restroom on the 1st floor of the Social Sciences Building.

Jones Childcare Kitchens & Restrooms

The first phase of this project is to do a study to explore the following improvements for the laboratory building: Add a new central kitchen with a washer and dryer Convert the existing kitchens to cubbies and storage space Renovate the restrooms Upgrade the mechanical and ventilation system for the renovated spaces as well as overall building performance.

2232 Piedmont Avenue Renovation

Renovation and modification of a historic building and property for use by the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. – Selective demolition and lawful disposal of materials. – Abatement and disposal of lead, asbestos, and mercury. Reference Hazardous Materials Report for the property. – Upgrade of electric service and an extensive upgrade of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. – New exterior patio, landscaping, and accessible pathway to the front door. – New kitchenette, janitor closet, and also accessible restrooms on each floor. – New addition for elevator and vestibule

I-880/decoto Road Interchange Modernization Project Engineering and Support Services – Pa&ed Phase

The I‐880/Decoto Interchange Modernization Project will upgrade the existing Caltrans freeway interchange to better accommodate multimodal travel through the Decoto Road and State Route 84 (Dumbarton) corridor. Key project elements include the implementation of new dedicated bus-only lanes in the eastbound‐westbound direction, as well as a physically separated Class I trail through the interchange.

Walnut Avenue and Liberty Street Intersection Improvements Project

The Project is located at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Liberty Street and is described as follows: The project is more specifically defined in the Contract Documents, but generally includes the following items of work: Furnish and maintain traffic control throughout the period of construction; maintain pedestrian barricades and detour pedestrian traffic around the work area; demolish and dispose of existing improvements including asphalt pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalk, curb access ramp, medians and traffic islands; construct protected intersection improvements

Citywide Street Name Sign Installation Project

The Project is located at various signalized intersections citywide and is described as follows: This project will install new standard street name signs and remove existing old standard street name signs.

2023 Citywide Pavement Crack Seal Project

The Project is located at various citywide locations, and is described as follows: Traffic control, public notifications, weed removal, cleaning pavement cracks, sealing pavement cracks with rubberized crack sealant, and other related work at various locations citywide.
