Summary The City of West Sacramento is accepting sealed responses for Corp yard Phase II – Connex Electrical Installation to be received no later than Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 3:00 pm. The bid specifications, including instructions on how to bid, standards for a responsive bid, and project specifications, are attached hereto in Attachments and incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in full / Background The City of West Sacramento’s (Public Works Operations and Parks & Recreation Operations) just purchased 14 connex storage containers, with seven (7) shed structures mounted between the storages. The purpose of the connex containers is for storing tools, equipment and minor charging of battery powered equipment. The Connexs have approximately six (6 ) power receptacles, 4 lights, and two (2) louvered vents each. The Connexs are furnished with a 125 amp electrical panel (20amp – receptacles, 15Amp lights). The Connexs are custom made but are not energized and require power to be tapped from the mains (nearest electrical vault/ box) and and distributed to all the connex storages via stepdown transformer. The distance from the first connex (number 1) to the last (Number 14) is approximately 375 LF

Project Scope The successful Bidder shall provide all skilled labor, material, and equipment for the renovation and expansion of a park improvement project. The park improvements include on-site parking, walking loop enhancements, fitness labyrinth, playground with shade structure, spray park, skate park with pump track, basketball courts, pickleball courts, soccer fields, and demolition of existing park features, along with other amenities. All work shall be in accordance with the Technical Specifications and the construction drawings. All material shall conform to the specifications contained in the Technical Specifications. POLICE DEPARTMENT GATES REPLACEMENT The proposed work consists of the replacement of four vehicle slide gates located at the City of West Sacramento Police Department facility at 550 Jefferson Blvd. The project includes the removal of existing gates and openers, providing and installing new gates and openers, utilizing existing electrical, access controls, Knox boxes, and ground loops. This project is funded by FEMA. All project work must meet all applicable codes and requirements. The Contractor shall provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals, and shall perform all work necessary to deliver a completed, workmanlike project ready for safe use and economical maintenance by City staff.

Project Scope Complete demolition of Conveyor Belts and any associated supports over Shed 7, including A Belt (up to the first stanchion on the other side of the access road from the building), V Belt, and T Belt. Obtain necessary building permits and air quality clearances. Demolish A, V, and T Belts along with any associated supports into the building’s roof structure. While there is a ladder to the roof and conveyor belts, if any additional scaffolding, lifts, or special equipment is needed, the contractor shall provide these items. Please refer to the attachment section (Attachment A) for the Asbestos Report provided for any abatement requirements needed for Air Quality Clearance. Please refer to the attachment section (Attachment B) for an image outlining the scope of the demolition needed. Project Scope The State Streets Pavement Rehabilitation Project encompasses a comprehensive set of tasks aimed at restoring and upgrading the neighborhood’s road infrastructure. Paving and surface treatment tasks involve applying over 50,000 SY of slurry seal and over 17000 Tons of 6-inch hot mix asphalt. A Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) will be implemented to mitigate stormwater pollution during construction. Storm drain and drainage adjustments include removing and replacing a storm drain pipe, and resetting drainage inlets. Various concrete works will be undertaken, including sidewalk curb ramps, valley gutters, curb and gutter. Payment for the project will be based on the actual quantities installed or constructed, as specified in the bid schedule.

SCOPE OF WORK The scope of work includes the replacement of the (4) existing dual-deck custom air handling units and (1) air conditioning unit located on the roof of the building along with related electrical service equipment and the replacement and integration of the existing building management system including coordination and replacement of new VAV controllers throughout the building. There are no interior space alterations, changes in use, or occupancy proposed. Construction work shall be performed in stages as approved by the City during the construction period to minimize operational impact on the building occupants.
