Scope of Services The City is implementing the project to decommission and abandon an existing water system facility to prepare the site for future development. This entails the removal of water infrastructure, including the tank and associated structures, followed by site restoration to ensure a stable and development-ready condition. The demolition will involve the complete removal and proper disposal of the tank’s concrete foundation, extending to a depth of five feet below the surface, ensuring no subsurface obstructions remain. Additionally, all above-ground structures, including any associated piping, support systems, and appurtenances, will be dismantled and removed in compliance with applicable safety and environmental regulations. Debris and demolition materials will be properly sorted, transported, and disposed of at approved facilities. Once demolition is complete, the site will undergo thorough clearing and grubbing to remove any remaining materials, vegetation, or debris. The area will then be graded to ensure proper drainage and site stabilization. Final restoration will include the placement of a crushed rock surface, providing long-term erosion control and a stable foundation for potential future use. Additionally, any damaged sidewalks around the perimeter of the site will be repaired or replaced to restore pedestrian accessibility and safety.
