SCOPE OF WORK The selected firm will be required to provide the necessary engineering design services that include field review, recommendations to help improve storm water management, increase recreational opportunities and expand green space along Compton Creek. To be considered responsive to the RFP requirements, consultants must submit a proposal indicating their knowledge and experience related to: Conduct geotechnical investigation in the project area to ensure that existing soil characteristics are suitable for infiltration and provide structural/integrity assessment of existing storm drain facilities. Conduct inventory and assessment of existing storm drain infrastructure, including pipes, culverts, catch basins, and outfalls All calculations, reports, and plans must be signed and stamped by a California Registered Civil Engineer. All such registrations shall be current Evaluate othe condition, capacity, and performance of the storm drain system and identify flood-prone areas and drainage issues. SCOPE OF WORK The City of Compton’s water system is approximately 7.8 square miles, composed of approximately 156 miles of water mains, eight (8) water wells, two (2) reservoir locations with corresponding booster pump stations, approximately 3,500 gate valves, 1,700 fire hydrants and 19,001 service connections. The detailed Scope of Work presented herein shall be used to establish the minimum requirements for the Project. The contractor shall review the Scope of Work and attached documents to provide the City of Compton a comprehensive Proposal that reflects all the efforts needed to complete this Project.

SCOPE OF SERVICES The Successor Agency properties will need 7-foot chain link fencing with anchored post, stabilizing wires and stabilizing bars as needed. There needs to be a gate installed at the point of entry and there needs to be the flexibility in the contract to provide for the following on call services: Fencing Repairs Fencing Replacement On an as needed basis. Some properties have dilapidated pitch and rail fencing that will remain on-site unless it adversely impacts the contractor’s ability to install the fencing. The fencing shall be installed in conformance to the Compton Municipal Code requirements and standards.

SCOPE OF SERVICES: The restoration project will include two phases and require a sensitive approach to maintaining the Heritage House’s historical integrity while upgrading its infrastructure. PHASE I: Architectural Design and Engineering Services Restore the front porch to its original state or keep it close to the original. Final design and preparation of construction drawings may be required, including architectural, structural, electrical, and all specialties. Phase II: Construction and Construction Management The contractor must review the following items and prepare construction drawings, including architectural, structural, electrical, and all other specialties that may require engineering design plans and specifications to renovate the identified areas needing improvement.

In revising said Scope of Work, the City shall have the right and the authority to make minor changes in the Work which can be prosecuted by the CONTRACTOR without extra cost so long as the Work is not inconsistent with the purpose and intent of the Bid and Contract Documents. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount of any quantity shown and to delete any item from the contract and pay the CONTRACTOR at the bid unit prices so long as the total amount of change does not exceed 25% (plus or minus) of the individual bid item quantity, and 25% (plus or minus) of the total bid amount. If the change exceeds these percentages, a change order may be negotiated to adjust unit bid prices.

DESCRIPTION List(s) of grind & overlay locations will be created with a minimum quantity of 40,000 square yards. The cost of the grind & overlay preparation shall include all milling, removal of materials, hole preparation, labor, and all other materials, tools, and equipment necessary for and incidental to said item. Only milling shall be an approved preparation and removal method for this project. Cost shall be paid per square yard of prepared area as marked in the field at each location. The minimum depth of removal of existing pavement shall be from 2” up to 4”. Subgrade or base material is to be compacted to 90% before the installation of new pavement.

While it is believed that the requirements set forth in this RFP have included all elements essential for a comprehensive proposal, all respondents to this RFP are advised to include pertinent information, data and/or procedures, which may have been overlooked and are critical to the success of this project. If the consultant believes that any item be considered lacking, excessive, or extraneous, those added or deleted items should be clearly identified in the proposal and should be supported with the appropriate reasoning for addition or deletion. The cost of added or deleted such items should be separately noted in the proposal. Critical elements of this upgrade shall include: Installation of SCADA servers and SCADA client to replace the Legacy HP Z230 SFF workstation including all required hardware. Upgrade server software to current release for MS Server including the required licenses. Upgrade existing SCADA software Ignition 7.8.5 to the latest Ignition version including the required licenses. Scope of Work: Consultant shall prepare detailed plans and specifications for all renovations and repairs as listed in this scope of work to include, but not limited to the following: Replace all existing non-compliant walkways to include ADA-accessible walkways that extend to the entry points of the stadium entry points, including but not limited to the ballfield and bleacher entry points, outdoor fitness entry points and provide connectivity between each program area so that disabled patrons can have a safe and compliant mode of travel to access the facility. This includes all sidewalks connecting to 1) All baseball fields, 2) the Greenfield Outdoor Exercise Equipment, 3) Restroom Facilities, 4) the Concession Stand Facility and 5) Stadium Entry Points. Install bollards in front of the driveway. Install Removal or retractable Ballard’s at the entrance between the parking lot and Jackie Robinson Stadium leading towards the Concession Stands and T-ball/Softball fields.
