Text Search

• The "Word(s)" option will return results with one or more of any of the given words, with no precedence given to any one word.
• The "Exact Phrase" option will return only results with the exact given phrase.
• In an advanced word search, you can use operators (AND, OR, NOT, and NEAR) to specify additional search information. Phrases can be specified by enclosing them within double quotes (").
• The wildcard character (*) can be used to match words with a given prefix. Searching for "Pre Fab*" returns "Pre Fab", "Pre Fabricated", "Pre Fabrication", and so on.
• Punctuation marks such as period (.), colon (:), semicolon (;), and comma (,) are ignored during a search.
• The text search is not case-sensitive, so you can type your query in uppercase or lowercase. Searching for "CONCRETE" will return the same results as searching for "concrete" or even "CoNcReTe".
• When using advanced search, if you use words that are in exception list (click here to see these words) it will not be used.

• OnCenter Takeoff (“OST”) is an all-in-one take off program designed for Windows based systems. On Center Software offers a free limited version, which you can download here (OST Viewer) or you can look for the most current version at http://www.oncenter.com/. This viewer is compatible with Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP and Vista.

• SimpleImage is a robust tiff viewer for the Mac OS.

Internet Browsers

• Download Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer

• If you are using Internet Explore 8 and saw a notification like the following:
  "Internet Explorer modified this page to prevent a potential cross-site scripting attack"
  Turn off the XSS Filter:
  (Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custom Level -> Scroll To The Bottom of the List -> Click Disable XSS Filter).
